**Ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 2+ years in Sales in the Events, Hospitality or Hotel Industry**
Primary Duties:
The Account Executive is responsible for driving sales and fostering client relationships to secure event contracts and increase revenue. Their responsibilities include identifying and targeting potential clients, developing tailored proposals, and pitching event solutions that meet client needs. The Account Executive will handle the end-to-end sales process—from initial outreach and lead qualification through negotiation and contract closure. Daily sales and marketing work, developing coworkers, team management, as well as designing, coordinating and executing client meetings and events are also some of the primary responsibilities of an Account Executive.
The person in this position will spend daily/weekly time on, but not limited to, the following:
Skills:
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Canva, and Social Tables is highly preferred. Strong Communication skills with clients, coworkers, partners and vendors. Comprehensive knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth area is preferred. Proven track record of sales in the meeting and events industry a must.
The person in this position will spend daily/weekly time on the following:
- Nurturing new and existing relationships within professional network all while perusing new avenues for company growth.
- Attend industry functions to network and learn
- Participate in refer and retain marketing programs
- Achieve short-term and long-term personal, team and company sales goals
- Assist in creation and execution of marketing campaigns with Creative Director
- Expand personal network to bring new partnership and client opportunities to the table
- Actively pursue leads to create opportunities for sales and revenue
- Managerial skills a plus, to help develop, motivate, mentor, and train team members, to meet and exceed team and company sales goals.
- Responsible for not only meeting individual goals but for their support in helping their teammates and company meet and exceed sales goals as well.
- Actively pursuing ways to increase company profit margins
- Nurture all leads through the inquiry and planning process
- Work with coworkers to design and create a compelling proposal that meets and exceeds the prospect’s wants and needs
- Be proficient in prioritizing individual and team workloads and ability to delegate work to teammates according to their strengths
- Lead team in developing budgets, timelines and other support documents for prospective clients
- Close business using established concession allowances
- Stay on top of teammates to create robust and complete files for the operation of successful meeting & events.
- Make clients feel trustworthy and comfortable with the company after the booking
- Work hands-on with the client to develop their program
- Create floor plans, timelines, agendas, budgets and other program documents for internal and external use
- Assist with operating the program as outlined to meet and exceed client expectations
- Close out the program with invoice review, client feedback forms, gifts and referral requests
- Close out a file with up-to-date program expense reports, review of final client invoicing and by reviewing and paying all vendor invoices.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
The person working in this position will work an irregular schedule, including some nights and weekends as well as potential travel outside of Texas; work in and out of an office environment; and may direct temporary workers during programs.
